For years Romagnoli F.lli, one of the main Italian companies in the processing and marketing sector for fruit and vegetable products, has been passionately working in the agri-food sector, where food, people and the region are inextricably linked. This is why the company’s activities and development must comply with the principles of sustainability and social responsibility.
 
By publishing its second Sustainability Report, the company wanted to tangibly and transparently outline its approach to sustainability, while at the same time promoting its company ESG performance (Environmental, Social and Governance). This report provided a real objective assessment aimed at continuous and increasingly informed improvement.
 
Sustainability is a strategic pillar and concrete guideline for company practices, which are implemented through the work of an in-house team with staff selected from the various company departments, guaranteeing an interdisciplinary approach and integrated skills. This team’s responsibilities were officially set out in 2021 with the creation of the Sustainability Committee, which plays a consultancy role and makes proposals regarding issues of environmental and social sustainability, involving people both inside and outside the company.
 
Furthermore, Romagnoli F.lli thinks it is vitally important to share its sustainability approach with its partners and is committed to supporting the entire agricultural production system through Research and Development, focused on innovation into potato varieties, which perform better and better both in the field and in terms of flavour, as well as on experimentation into more efficient and sustainable farming practices. In this way, the company is committed to innovating and improving products and processes by working together with national research bodies and universities.
 
Finally, by firmly supporting the importance of dialogue with all interested parties and the sharing of knowledge, Romagnoli F.lli aims to act in a responsible way for society and future generations.
