From 12 to 23 November, at all Ce.Di. Gros stores in Lazio, when you buy a pack of “Patata di Campo-Amica dell’ambiente”, we will donate a meal to people living in hardship.
To offer real help to people living in hardship, in the name of social and environmental sustainability. This is the goal behind the “Una mano dal campo” eco-solidarity campaign promoted by Legambiente along with Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A. and Ce.Di. Gros for Banco Alimentare. From 12 to 23 November, at all Ce.Di. Gros stores in Lazio, for each 1.5 kg pack of “Patata di Campo-Amica dell’ambiente” purchased, Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A. will donate enough money for a meal to Banco Alimentare.
According to the latest Istat figures, partly due to the effects of the pandemic on the world of work, in 2020, the number of people below the poverty line reached 5.6 million (9.4% of the population), over a million more than in 2019. The Lazio stop of “Una mano dal campo” is the first one in a journey which, over the next few months, will also involve other outstanding companies in the Italian agri-food sector with initiatives all across the country.
This project was immediately supported by Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A. as the perfect combination of its commitment to sustainable agriculture serving the people and the environment, in the belief that providing real help to those who need it most is a duty for any socially responsible company.
“Patata di Campo-Amica dell’ambiente” is the result of the collaboration between Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A. and Legambiente for High-Quality Italian Agriculture. This high-quality potato supply chain, grown using low-pressure and high-efficiency irrigation systems, helps reduce water consumption by 30%.
The next stops on this solidarity-based journey will be published on the website http://agricoltura.legambiente.it/
