A typical Asian starter, these Sicilian new potato string prawns made using the Arizona variety are an eye-catching delicious and original recipe!
Ingredients for 4 people
Prawn tails, 24
Arizona new potatoes, 300g
Lemon, 1
Seed oil, as required
Soy sauce, to taste
Table salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Preparation
First of all, wash the prawns under running water and clean them thoroughly. Heat up a pan over a medium heat with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, then add the prawns and sear them for a few minutes. Once ready, put them to one side.
Now thoroughly wash the potatoes, peel them and make “spaghetti” using a kitchen spiraliser. Wrap the spaghetti around the prawns and fry them in very hot oil until they are crispy enough.
Once the time required is up, drain them onto a plate covered with paper towel to get rid of any excess oil. Season with salt, pepper and, if you like, some freshly squeezed lemon. Serve your potato string prawns with soy sauce.
