They will be handed out over the next two months to local food banks
Romagnoli F.lli has established a partnership with the “Dare per fare” metropolitan community fund, donating potatoes and onions which will be handed out over the next two months at food banks in the district networks to combat poverty, set up as part of the project “Un piatto per tutti”.
This community fund initiative was created to strengthen the response capacity of those who distribute food and essential goods, collecting new donations. The aim of this trial is to help organisations that are working to support communities, to optimise resources, to exchange and share best practices, and to combat food waste.
Logistics management has been delegated to VOLABO - Volunteer Service Centre, which plays a crucial role in coordinating pick-ups. In collaboration with the metropolitan city of Bologna, the municipality of Bologna, and the municipalities and unions of the metropolitan area, VOLABO actively helps develop and create regional networks for distributing essential goods.
“We are delighted to have taken part in this important charity project and we would like to thank the metropolitan community fund for the successful partnership”, confirmed Grazia Romagnoli, Managing Director of Romagnoli F.lli. “Social responsibility, together with a strong connection with the region and the development of waste-free agriculture, forms an essential set of values for the company, as well as a solid commitment to be upheld every day. We are proud of the opportunity to support the most vulnerable families through this initiative”.
