Over €40 million in revenue, with more than 50,000 tonnes of products sold.
Romagnoli F.lli Spa, one of the main fruit and vegetable companies in Italy, ended 2022 with a turnover of over €40 million, up 8% on the previous year, and with more than 50,000 tonnes of products sold. Exports accounted for 2% of total revenue.
“The excellent result achieved”, explained Giulio Romagnoli, the CEO of Romagnoli F.lli Spa, “is an important recognition of the organisation of our production chain, formed of highly professional, loyal farms which can react positively to the growing difficulties that have followed one another over the past year, while it also recognises the dedication and commitment of the company’s human resources.
Research, innovation into varieties and sustainability are the key pillars of our strategy focused on continuous improvement in methods, practices and techniques, while meeting the needs and expectations of all our stakeholders. The growing requests for our products are a sign of the strong demand from the market and consumers, but it also represents a litmus test for the commitment and responsibility that have become second nature to our way of doing business”.
The outstanding results achieved by Selenella® potatoes continued in 2022, which confirmed their position among the most popular fruit and vegetable brands with consumers, synonymous with quality, the region and a focus on sustainability, consolidating their success. In fact, Selenella is a leader in the packaged potato sector with a 20.1% value market share.
The excellent performance also continued of èVita Residue-Free potatoes, which recorded an increase of 130% on 2021, linked to the growing interest among consumers in a lifestyle focused on saving the environment and the quality of food. Other key factors in choosing this product are a focus on its source, the quality of the product and the production process of the foods we eat. In terms of large-scale retail, the greater offer of more environmentally-friendly food products meets the modern needs of responsible consumption, increasingly connected to the principles of social, environmental and economic sustainability.
