Confirming its commitment to innovation, the supply chain and continuous improvements of company practices
This new chapter is all about internal growth and the development of an increasingly solid corporate culture for Romagnoli F.lli. The company has presented its third Sustainability Report, for the 2022 financial year, confirming how much it wants to contribute to a more sustainable future, benefiting the entire supply chain through innovative, responsible practices. The new entry in terms of certification is UNI/PdR 125:2022 on Gender Equality.
Right from when the drafting and publication work started for the Report, back in 2020, Romagnoli F.lli was able to make measurement a simple verification tool, capable of corroborating the strength of its industrial strategy. This company practice soon became a tradition, rooted in the past but looking to the present and future: supply chain development, innovation, and social and environmental responsibility. Over the years, the Sustainability Report therefore increasingly became a challenge to its own potential, with satisfactory results.
The progress of the new edition of the Report shows the value of Romagnoli’s sustainable strategy. Regarding the environment, 26% of its energy was produced from renewable sources (+14% compared with 2021), while water withdrawals fell from 13.10 to 10.26 megalitres (-22% compared with 2021). The percentage of new recruits grew, standing at 23% (+21% compared with the previous Report), while over 732 hours of training were provided to employees (+29% compared with 2021). Finally, 29,750 kg of potatoes were donated to organisations and associations through regional events and social solidarity initiatives.
Two certifications were also confirmed this year, UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 and UNI ISO 45001:2018, issued by the KIWA Italia Certification Agency. These recognitions confirm Romagnoli F.lli’s highly reliable profile when it comes to its Workplace Health and Safety Management System and its Environmental Management System. Notably important is the new certification, UNI/PdR 125:2022 on Gender Equality.
“We are proud to present our third Sustainability Report, a communication and measurement tool that reports back for stakeholders on any changes involving the business community in a dynamic, proactive way”, explained Giulio Romagnoli, the CEO of Romagnoli F.lli Spa. “We are continuing to pursue our goal of making production sustainable in social, economic and environmental areas”.
