Romagnoli F.lli: A Concrete Commitment to Sustainable Growth

Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A. presents its Fifth Sustainability Report, reaffirming its commitment to a growth model based on responsibility, transparency, and innovation. Since 2020, the company has adopted a structured and measurable approach to sustainability, subjecting its performance to independent evaluation that contributes to its ESG Rating, now in its fifth edition, which certifies the value created in environmental, social, and governance areas.

The new Report highlights tangible progress on multiple fronts. On the environmental side, overall energy consumption has remained stable despite a significant increase in the volume of products sold, resulting in improved energy efficiency. The company has renewed its UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 certification, ensuring continuous improvement in environmental processes, and its UNI ISO 45001:2018 certification, demonstrating ongoing commitment to worker health and safety through training, investments, and active employee engagement.

Even on a social level, results confirm a consistent and inclusive path: the workforce has grown from 79 to 86 employees, and over 70% of new hires have been women, in line with the commitment to gender equality recognized by UNI/PdR 124:2022 certification. In 2024, this achievement will be complemented by UNI ISO 30415:2022 certification on responsible diversity and inclusion management.

Commitment to research and innovation continues with the “Next Generation Variety” project, dedicated to developing potato varieties more resilient to climate change and plant diseases, and with the participation in the P.A.T.A.T.A. project, aimed at reducing the use of pesticides and optimizing water resources. Through its subsidiary farm, Selva Maggiore, Romagnoli F.lli manages 28 hectares of meadows and forests dedicated to biodiversity conservation.

“The fifth Sustainability Report is the tangible evidence of how sustainability has become an integral part of our corporate strategy. The results achieved demonstrate that our commitment is real, measurable and certified. We look to the future with the goal of further strengthening our supply chain, making it ever more solid, transparent, and resilient,” states Giulio Romagnoli, CEO of the company. Grazia Romagnoli, Executive Director for Sustainability, adds: “Since 2020, we have made significant progress in environmental, social and governance areas, always with the conviction that sustainability is not an option, but a necessary choice.”
